Modules
- Better Prompting Course (Standard & Advanced Modules) (19.5 learning hours): Nine scheduled sessions across three months: three full-day workshops, three live tutorials and three group check-ins. Supported by over 20 hours of self-study material, worked examples and walkthrough guides.
Criteria
Awarded on completion of the Better Prompting Course (Standard & Advanced Modules), a three-month programme of nine scheduled sessions: three full-day workshops, three live tutorials and three group check-ins, together approximately 19.5 taught hours, supported by over 20 hours of self-study material including 56 handouts and eight step-by-step walkthrough guides. Delegates progressed from conversational prompting, through structured prompting and reusable assets, to designing, building and evaluating agents of their own. The programme covered the Jagged Frontier and how to judge where AI is strong or weak on your own work; detecting and managing hallucinations and the risks they carry; GDPR, personal data, and the boundary between enterprise and public AI tools; PAFD and structured prompting; context engineering; scaffolding, meaning the reusable context assets that make an agent perform; agent process design and the building of agents in Microsoft 365 Copilot; evaluating prompt and agent quality; and deciding when to delegate authority to an agent versus keeping a human in the loop. The emphasis throughout was practical and productivity-focused rather than theoretical: building working examples against real tasks, encouraging a personal prompt playbook so that what works is captured and reused rather than rewritten each time, and evaluating the time a prompt or agent saves, using a value formula of frequency, time saved and success rate, per-prompt estimates recorded at a stated confidence, and a closing return-on-investment figure.
Aligned to, as assessed by the issuer
- AI literacy (EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689))
Supports a deployer's obligation under Article 4 to ensure a sufficient level of AI literacy among staff. Covers informed deployment of AI systems, awareness of the opportunities, and awareness of the risks and possible harm, including hallucination, prompt injection, data leakage, data protection, and accountability for AI-assisted decisions. It does not cover the Regulation's own provisions, and sufficiency under Article 4 remains the deployer's judgement. - AI Worker (AI Skills for Business Competency Framework v3.0.0 (Innovate UK BridgeAI / The Alan Turing Institute))
Maps to the AI Worker persona: employees whose roles are affected by AI but who do not work primarily in data or AI. The course covers duty D6 (adopt AI tools for day-to-day tasks), D7 (apply professional judgement when interpreting AI outputs), D8 (maintain awareness of capabilities and limitations), D9 (safeguard sensitive or business-critical information), D10 (monitor how AI is changing the role) and D12 (engage in training and skill development), and with them competencies C16 data protection, C17 confident platform use, C18 responsible experimentation within organisational policy, C22 responsible workflow integration, C23 critical interpretation of outputs, C24 adapting through ongoing learning and C25 contributing to organisational learning. Bias and over-reliance, within D7 and D8, are touched on rather than taught in depth. No proficiency level is claimed.
